Personal Projects
Being a Technical Artist is not something you can learn. It is something you become over time through experience. The creative media industry is constantly evolving and requires new ways of working and thinking. Personal projects such as the ones featured on this page allow me to explore avenues I have interests in.
StalakMiner
StalakMiner is a recent project I concluded using Houdini and Unreal Engine 4. This project started in 2020 during quarantine where I wasn’t allowed to go places. I figured this would be the perfect time to develop a game of just the right size scope that would touch on many different elements of Game Development.
NVIDIA VR FunHouse Gamejam
In 2016 myself and several colleagues got invited by NVIDIA and Epic Games to participate in the NVIDIA VR FunHouse GameJam in Hamburg Germany. In 48 hours we built a game using new technology.
Based in Breda, Netherlands, Dreampunks have proven themselves to be VR jamming experts. Back in April, they won “the Totally Awesome Unreal Engine Award at Nordic Game Jam.” As well as taking their winning game jam game forward, they have two other VR projects on the go. In Angelo, Jack, Paul, Reinout and Rene’s mod, test your coordination as you try to balance a tray of drinks whilst shooting down the objects launched at you.

Co-Founder DreamPunks
In 2016 I co-founded a company specialized in developing “killer-apps” for the Tobii Eye Tracker, as well as the Realfiction Dreamoc Holographic Display. Our company was in collaboration with Ds.Xpress the first in the world to build “hologames” for holographic displays.
